Esther’s Challenge – Laugh-along-a-Limerick

Happy New Week to you all and welcome, once again, to Esther Chilton’s regular Monday challenge.

Today, Esther’s one-word prompt is SHOW. So can you write a limerick using the word SHOW in it somewhere?

If you want to swerve around the weekly prompt, please feel free to ignore it and write a limerick to suit your current mood and feelings. Just let it flow. Delight us all with your creativity.

Post your submissions in the Comments on this post.

  1. Yesterday we went to a show,
To see classic cars, all in a row
There was a model T Ford
    Nothing I could afford…
But it was a really great place to go.

  2. “What’s up your kilt?” I asked him one night.
“Look or feel, with reciprocal rights.”
    He showed and I touched
    And I did the same.
What did we find? Your guess might be right!

    Once I wrote a limerick
But some thought it pretty sick
    I allowed it to show
    What people shouldn’t know
    I guess sometimes I’m pretty thick…

In olden days – A glimpse of stocking – Was regarded as shocking – Now heaven knows – Everything is on show .

There was a young man called Lance
Who offered to give us a glance
    When he lifted his kilt
    Swanwick heads all did tilt
But his Y-fronts were yelling ‘No chance’.

No, I didn’t like the show
    My boredom began to grow
    The acting was bad,
    It made me quite mad
    my clapping ? wilfully slow

  7. i once was in need of a tow
when i started to drive to the show
    the driver was drunk
    he smelled like a skunk
