World Famous in Andover!

Book Signing SMI know that this is just a grain of sand when compared to the mountainous achievements of some of my author friends in our blogging world, at Swanwick Writers’ Summer School and on many social media channels, but it hugely exciting for me.

The Andover Advertiser have featured my first ever public book-signing event on page 37 of today’s edition.

I am so pleased for you, Lance. How absolutely thrilling to be holding your own book signing – and to get in the paper! You’ve achieved a lot, and I really hope you and your writing keep progressing and you keep publishing. Never lose heart or faith in what you truly love doing. Congratulations!

Just had to share this fantastic moment in the writing life of my lovely friend, Lance Greenfield. A first book signing is something to be very proud of, and I am delighted for him.

While he chose to concentrate on his inspirational books for this signing, Lance has also written a gorgeous collection of erotic short stories, entitled When Pleasure Blooms. It’s on Amazon, so pop over and have a look.

This kind of publicity in the local press is always a wonderful boost for the morale of a writer. I think it’s a matter of serendipity if you succeed in interesting the news desk of the local press to include your story and picture in the papers. I had quite a bit of success with that, in several local papers, for my first novel Mystical Circles, in which I wrote and sent out the press release myself; yet ironically despite my use of a professional marketing service for my second novel published with Matador, I didn’t achieve any offline press coverage at all. So – luck and serendipity are the keys and on this occasion they have been on your side, Lance! Congratulations – I share your excitement at this encouragement.

    • Thanks Sheila. I think that you’d recently published Mystical Circles when I met you on Jo Thoenes’s “couch” on BBC Radio Oxford.
I have the reporter the foundation of this article. I think she did a great job on it.
